Introduction This book is divided into 50 reading days, incorporating substantial commentary and scripture references. All scriptures are pertinent to receiving the most from each daily reading, leading us to know God better and his will for our lives. Knowing God could be very simple, but in practice, it rarely is. There is only one God, and that is Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Everyone who truly seeks Jesus will find him. God calls people to know who he is and be saved. So, we build ourselves up, refreshing ourselves in the wisdom that only God can give to us, anticipating and delighting to be with him in our devotional times, and throughout the day. Our God and best friend is always with us providing 'wisdom, knowledge and understanding'. He is our strength, comfort, joy, and song in our hearts, therefore, it is always a good thing to encourage ourselves in his presence, to prepare the day ahead with him. The Lord God knows us, and at any time, welcomes his people into communion with him. There is no other place we would rather be than living our lives alongside our God and King.
