MANY YEARS AGO, D. M. YELL wrote this epic romantic fantasy adventure, Knight First Class, while sailing around the world in the U.S. Navy in the early 1990s. This is a story of love and suffering, of loyalty and betrayal, of knights and wars and pirates and princesses. In Part I: The Disappearance of the Captain Knight, a handsome young captain/knight/prince is summoned home from war to compete in a duel for the hand of his true love; and while on his way back, he is captured and held prisoner by a band of pirates; then, when a series of murders began cropping up throughout the kingdom, Captain Knight Christoph is blamed for them and must find a way to clear his name–if he can ever return home. In Part II: The Tournament of Knights and Rangers, Christoph finally returns home to face his rival Knight and Prince Jossiph in a duel; then, afterwards, he must face unjust accusations in the high court of the Elders and Kings and investigate and discover the true cause of all the killings in order to clear his name. In Part III: The War of the Three Kings, civil war breaks out across Christoph's homeland, and he is forced to fight and lead an army to liberate the kingdom from a powerful group of treacherous knights. He must overcome many foes and rise up as a true ideal Knight First Class in order to rescue Victorea and fullfill his promises of love and devotion to her. D. M. YELL has been a high school English and Drama teacher for nearly two decades, he is a professional writing couch, and he has three degrees: an A.A. in General Studies; a B.A. in Theater from UCLA; and a Masters in English from Cal State University, Long Beach. He has lived most of his life in Los Angeles and has served as a Fireman-Engineman in the Navy. He is a Gulf War Veteran and now lives, writes, and teaches in Wisconsin.
