KITTY was a One-Shot Wonder created by Lily Renee and published in October of 1948 by St. John Publishing. Lily Renee' was one of the earliest women to be involved with the comic book industry, working predominantly for Fiction House on series like Jane Martin, Senorita Rio, and The Werewolf Hunter until 1948. After Fiction House moved out of New York City, Lily Renee worked at St. Johns primarily on ABBOTT & COSTELLO COMICS and various romance titles. KITTY #1 contains three features. The first story features Kitty starting a job as a salesclerk in a dress shop and chaos ensues. In the second story, Kenny and his buddy Muggsy are hired to clean a haunted house, with artwork by Vince Fago. The third tale has movie star Gerald Kliegeyes coming to town to judge a dress design contest and Sally is going to win it, in spite of all the challenges about to jump in her path. KITTY #1 is fun and frivolous humor featuring the finest in teenage hi-jinks.
