Kingdom of Myth and Magic in Bloomington, MN

Melora, the adopted daughter of the Queen of Morania, was taken in by the queen after her family was murdered when she was only a child. Now, she is a princess, in title only. No one other than the court's closest knows of her true lineage. Melora's life has been dwindled to lessons and teas, leaving no room for her own choices. She longs for experience, for freedom. The chance to explore feelings she has never known.
After a bombshell secret is revealed to Melora, she refuses to believe she is betrothed to someone she should fear. An ulterior motive lies beneath the source of this engagement, and it is up to Melora to succeed in her goal. However, a certain raven-haired prince intervenes and upends her plans to take down the kingdom responsible for war decades ago.
No matter how hard Melora tries, she can't seem to keep her hands off the prince. Their attraction grows as her will to carry out her plan fades.
