. It isn't that they play poorly, but ten of the dozen songs on the previously unreleased live set have vocals, and the singer (usually
Scott
) is so distant as to sound as though he singing from across the street! In addition, the constantly distracting audience is so enthusiastic in spots that it occasionally drowns out the band; plus, nothing all that unusual occurs in the instrumental solos to make this unfortunate recording worth putting out. Not every performance by every band deserves to be released. ~ Scott Yanow
