A beloved citrus fruit due to its inherent sweet-and-tart taste, the Key Lime tree is so named as it is native to the Florida Keys. Hardy, naturally pest-resistant, and climate-adaptable, the key lime tree is a perfect choice for beginner and expert green thumbs alike. The key lime can produce fragrant white flowers that can last an entire growing season. This aroma, plus the incredibly delicious fruit it produces, makes the key lime tree one of our favorite citrus plants. Perfect for cooking, baking, cocktails, and more.

Important Note: By law we cannot ship citrus trees to California, Arizona, Louisiana or Texas.

Outdoor Care: Suitable for USDA planting zones 8-11. Plant against a south-facing wall where the plant can get up to 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. Allow top 2-3 inches of soil to dry before watering. When watering, let water penetrate the root system. Cut back on watering before first frost to prevent growth during cooler months when damage is more possible. The key lime tree is self pollinating. Simply take pollen from one flower and swab it over the other blooms on the tree to start the process.

Indoor Care: Plant in container with drainage hole. Place in bright, direct sun. Allow top 2-3 inches of soil to dry before watering. When watering, let water penetrate the root system.
