KAYLA 3210 in Bloomington, MN

Detective Aaron Rencher is a Chicago cop who thinks his greatest problem is his boss. He normally works alone and after a shooting incident is assigned desk duty for a full week. To give him something to do, he is assigned a new person to the department. Cher Greynolds has transferred to the Chicago Police Department from the Champaign, Illinois, one. She is not used to the situations that take place in Chicago and requires training. He doesn't like desk duty or training another cop although this one is extremely pleasant to look at. Just when he thinks his life is getting back to the way he likes it, another shooting situation occurs. His life is saved by a six year old girl named Kayla who doesn't seem to have a last name or a family. The one thing she does have is a determination to have Aaron repay her for saving his life by providing her with a place to live.
