John McLaughlin: Meeting of the Minds

The release travels behind the scenes of several recording sessions fronted by celebrated fusion jazz guitarist McLaughlin, onetime lead musician in the Mahavishnu Orchestra. As filmed over a period of five days, the sessions at hand witness the production of McLaughlin's 2008 solo recording . The program also features interviews with McLaughlin's accompanists, including Shankhar Mahadevan, who speak candidly about the manner in which they approach a McLaughlin composition.
