Jolene and Daniel, close friends since school days, left college early to start a computer business. Over the years it became a successful enterprise, employing a number of others. But of late, Daniel has turned listless and despondent; losing interest in work and all else. Emotionless, he decides to leave the business for his partner to continue running. Following his exodus, a rippling series of changes affect the company and those working there. A blossoming of relationships takes place; all having been set in motion by Daniel's abrupt departure. As Daniel's absence from the business continues in an indefinite way, he starts to comprehend; that his ennui has altered itself into something unexpected. His indifference has turned into a search; for nothing less than for the meaning of life. Much of Jolene's energy has long been connected to Daniel. What their business had achieved, was a joint venture. They accomplished it as a team. One day, without expectation, during an idle conversation with her husband, Jolene experiences a gust of surprising inspiration. She envisions a remarkable idea for the company. The gift to her mind is a revolutionary concept; which might well change the very future of education. But she needs the help of her partner and friend to institute it. She has some doubts, about whether her idea is practical. With an established business to protect, her vision must be a reasonable goal to follow. Can she convince her partner Daniel to come back to work; so they can change the world for the better? To bring Daniel back to life might well take the arrival of a homeless boy and his mother. Perhaps he will learn from them, about the good that flows naturally from helping others. Daniel's personal quest for relevance takes him on a journey of love, commitment, and challenge. During Daniel's process of self-discovery, a celebration of family is born. And the fulfillment he seeks; it is found close at hand. It openly waits for him, in the very search for what is important in life. Here is demonstrated, even without the presence of ghosts or goblins or murder or bloodshed or crime, that the lives of ordinary people can be extraordinary.
