Shay is excited to continue her education and training for becoming a service dog for a Texas veteran. She has much to learn from her mentor, Jake. Jake is a retired service dog from the Veterans Assistance Dogs of Texas. Jake has previously explained the basis of becoming a service dog through VA Dogs of Texas. Now he continues his experience about a typical day and the importance of the training that the service dogs receive from their organization.As Jake walks Shay through the ins and outs of a normal day, he also explains the differences between various working dogs and their public access.
