In a flash, a young Spanish girl finds herself alone in an empty house, her parents ripped from her and nowehre to be found. Everything she knows and understands crumbles and is turned upside down. Her heritage, her parent's last name and even their American citizenship are suddenly brought into question, replaced by three letters, ICE. Lost and bewildered, she is thrown from a safe home environment into the foster care system, forcing her to live with strangers, no longer having anything to call her own as trust and love are broken and destroyed repeatedly.
