Inside the Flow: Poems in Bloomington, MN

The dream-like quality of the author's lines can be truly mesmerizing, and her descriptions are often breathtaking:... Her Ohio landscape includes jazz clubs and nuclear power plants; fruit trees and train tracks; the ever-present, enduring lake; and at least one mirrored bar room where "everything about the room is an illusion, / and everything about the room is real." This debut collection, so charmingly illustrated by the author, is deft and beautiful, testament to what rises from the unconscious when we allow it to take the reins.
