God's gift to God's beloved is God's own self, a gift incomparably more valuable than any worldly good. Even so, walking with God does not shield us from tragedy and the pain of heartache. Sometimes, it seems to attract these things. And yet, for many Christians, our relationship with God through Christ is our most precious possession. I Bought a Pearl is a collection of poetry that prayerfully examines the great value--as well as some of the great cost--of this treasure.
