Bipolar disorder is a form of mental illness. Unfortunately, any disorder that involves anything “mental” typically gives rise to uncertainty, fear and distress. Suffering from a mental illness however is much akin to suffering from any other disorder. For example, if someone were to diagnose you with lupus, chances are your friends and family would gather around to support you in your time of need.Unfortunately for many patients with bipolar disorder, this is often not the case. At the very least, may patients with this disorder feel like they do not have the ability to confide in those who surround and support them.
