The Ainswoth family are the proprietors of a fine hotel for upper-class travellers on the magical Italian Riveriera during the Roaring 20s. The hotel has only been open a few weeks, but already teh business and personal problems are mounting for its British co-proprietor and moving spirit, Bella Ainsworth.
