What does it mean to be "in the heart of Jesus"? In this unique and in-depth study of the Beatitudes, the author takes the reader into the heart of Jesus. In place of merely following "In His Steps", this study enables one to be "IN HIS MIND", and moreover to have, as the apostle Paul put it, "...this mind in you" (Philippians 2:5 KJV). Based on over 50 years of study and teaching the Beatitudes, this work is a study and search into the mind of Jesus, and it includes many of the author's personal life-experiences and other powerful stories from his numerous trips to Africa. The book is an exposition of the eight attitudes which are the basis of the Law of Christ, and the great blessings promised to those having those eight characteristics. The author shows how Jesus is the Supreme Example of each of these characteristics, and taken together, they comprise the totality of Christian thinking. Having the mind of Christ is the key to making decisions which are Christ-centered and Christ-glorifying, and the key to having the glory of Christ in us. Dr.Tony Hopper and his wife Iva Kate live on Iva Kate's family's farm in Alabama. They have two children and five grandchildren. Retired now, they previously operated a working beef cattle operation for forty years, simultaneously running a site work and grading company. Tony enjoys gardening and playing the violin with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. He is the author of Dearest Darling, It's Been a Long, Long Time: Love Letters from World War II, based on 325 letters his father Bert Hopper wrote to his wife Lois during Bert's 27-month Army service; and of Fourth-Quarter Fishing: A Memoir of an Engineer's International Mission Trips.
