I was motivated to write Highway Robbery after my oldest and youngest sisters sustained life threatening and permanent injuries in an SUV rollover accident. I wanted to warn families considering purchasing an SUV about the damages and cover-up surrounding faulty tire manufacturing and auto design. I also wanted to express the love, sorrow, and joy I felt for my sisters during their recoveries and take you into their world growing up over the time and events leading to the tragic day of the accident. I couldn’t do enough for them except to write their stories and create a vision for them to see that their lives are a gift and that angels were sent to save them.A large corporation like Firestone/Bridgestone was exposed to the public when a tire cover-up story became an issue with Ford placing faulty tires on the Ford Explorer SUV. Hundreds of highway deaths resulted from this faulty manufacturing. The truth must be told. People have a right to know if the products they are buying have safety issues due to faulty manufacturing.
