After working 12 years at a Crisis Intervention Shelter for emotionally disturbed teenagers, Smart is suddenly thrown into deep crisis mode herself. What follows is her journey of healing juxtaposed against the teenagers that pass through the shelter with their own heartbreaking, bizarre, hilarious, touching, crazy-making life stories.
