Heart of Christ

Revive the Christian meaning of heart-centered living. The role of the heart in the quest to love God and to follow Christ has been lost. By cultivating a pure heart devoted to loving God, one follows the teachings of Christ. The Bible is saturated in references to the heart. By examining the heart-related verses in the four Gospels, it is apparent that Christ makes multiple points regarding the heart and its primacy in Christian life. Christ states that the heart is the human origin of both good and evil; the heart is the home of the spiritual discernment (not the mind or intellect); to heal the ravages of sin, one must change the heart; to evaluate the quality of one's heart, observe one's external environment; and the heart (as divine Love) reigns supreme in creation because it harbors the Love of God from which all creatures, plants and things have been created.
