HEART: A Collection of Poetry

In the Fall of 2020, HEART Inclusive Arts Community began teaming up with a class of Special Education majors at the College of Charleston to grow their skills in creative writing. This collaboration continued through the Spring of 2021 and led to a multitude of expressive works which have been curated for this poetry collection. HEART Inclusive Arts Community provides visual arts, music, and performing arts mentorships and community engagement for adults with disabilities who want to grow and develop as artists. At HEART, we have created a center where artists of all abilities work together to create something that enriches and transforms the community.
