This is a strange compilation.

released only two albums before this release. It's extremely rare, if ever, for an artist to warrant a compilation after only two albums. Eight of the ten tracks on
Healing
came from the two predecessors, and one track actually ends up on
's successor,
Freedom
. The title track, a duet with
Wynonna Judd
, is the only song not contained on another of his original releases.
lived through some personal difficulties around the time of the release of this album, but the reason for the release of this compilation is a mystery. Nevertheless, all ten tracks are fine songs, and
English
