Nick is a stay-at-home dad. He thought that was the deal that would enable him to write full time rather than toil away in just any job. This was a sad interpretation of the workings of the world.
It turns out he has no money, kids to look after, housework to do, playgroup, and friends who need a laugh. And a wife whose life has not changed.
When he fears his wife may be having an affair, he finds a solution to his problems. It's not at all legal, although it may just work.
