Haulers - A Spase Storm Story

Haulers is the first of ten novellas from the Spase Storm series (a soon to be published story) that delves into the life and times of the fascinating characters, groups and places of this universe; known as the Verse. Haulers transport goods in containers; whether legal or illegal, across the 17 populated star systems. Beginning after the events of Spase Storm, the hardworking crew of the Yazer, a star-hopping freighter, has just departed Moontropolis to deliver goods to the space station Orbit City. Soon after leaving they take on a mysterious new job to deliver a haul to a dangerous place. But as they settle in on the day's long hop they detect a pursuer chasing them. Are they coming after the current haul, the new haul or one of them? Those questions are answered and a secret past is revealed as they deal with their pursuers. And, whatever is inside the new container is a clue to uncovering an ancient secret to be revealed in future stories.
