Excerpt from Harvard College, Vol. 3: Class of 1896, Secretary's Report, June, 1906There is one class of men who, when they receive a sec retary's notice, sit down at once and answer it if possible I would present these each a gold medal. There is a second class who, on receiving a second notice after a lapse of six months, find time enough to reply - my thanks to these. There is a third class who reply after three or four appeals these are to be congratulated. Finally there is still another class whom no amount of appeals, printed, written, or verbal, can move from a state of inborn modesty which prevents them unveiling the story of their lives to an awaiting and expectant class. These have my sympathy as well as wrath.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
