Harnessing Power to Law: The Christian Leader and Politics

Power is part of the primordial structure of creation that God created, observed, and declared, "Very good" (Gen 1:31). Part of what it means for man to be made in the image of God is that he is not merely, like the rest of creation, subject to this power structure, but, under God, responsible for it. It is the exercise of power over other men that presents the crux of the moral problems that we face.
