Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra (1940)

The second album of radio transcriptions made by and released by Circle is, like the first, a bit of a disappointment. Of the dozen selections, only two ( and "Jimtown Blues") are instrumentals and one has to sit through six of "dreamy" ballad vocals plus three novelties featuring . was much more of a well-rounded outfit than is displayed on these performances, making this an album strictly for completists. ~ Scott Yanow
