Genoveva [Blu-ray]

The Zurich Opera House mounted this 2008 production of Robert Schumann's only opera, the 1848 +Genoveva. It stars Juliane Banse, Shawn Mathey, Martin Gantner and Cornelia Kallisch. Martin Ku?ej handles stage direction, while the Orchestra and Chorus of the Zurich Opera House, under the baton of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, provide symphonic accompaniment.
