Gateshifter in Bloomington, MN

Home is a four-letter word, well at least for Tiffany Miller. Her mom still leaves the garden plants in their pots and the moving container (she calls Fred) takes up pretty much the whole driveway. Fred annoyingly creaks out a reminder to Tiffany on how the next move awaits her future.
Her life is thrown into chaos after she enters another world through her dreams. In this new world she is known as Adeline. She begins to develop powers but since they laid dormant until now, they come with a price of unpredictability. When she can't control the magic and harms another, the Light Council feels threaten by her powers. Her mother's history with the Light Council could deem her an enemy before she can prove that she is different.
If the Light Council isn't enough to deal with, another group threatens to tear everything she holds dear right from under her. Forced to fight a predestine war with a man named Sebastian along with his nonhuman army, her life might not be the only one left up to fate.
Her mother is already packing their bags as Tiffany tries to control the powers and forces that are against her.
