The long war between Nordmar and Myrthana was over. In the end, her kingdom had lost. She had expected that, even hoped for it. What she hadn't expected was for her brother, the new King of Myrthana, to hand her over to the King of Nordmar, King Rhobart, as a war prize to save his own life. King Rhobart was not a merciful man. He was cruel and heartless, just like the cold land he ruled. When Ayla arrives in Nordmar, things are not as they seem.
