"Three Short Stories"
consists of three slowly entwining duets for
Alicia Ultan
's violas --
"A Fine Powder,"
"Nothing but Love,"
and
"Lavender"
-- little more than lazy incidental music, closely and warmly recorded. In
"My Burning Skin to Sleep,"
plays isolated piano chords with the damper pedal pressed down that glisten in the soft-focused acoustic, whereupon the cooing sound of
Marghreta Cordero
