Jared Cavanaugh rebelled against his father's authority and disrespected his mother. By his senior year in college his diet consisted mostly of vodka and a variety of prescription drugs. It took the devastation of losing both parents to bring him to his senses and turn his life around. He made a promise by his parents' graveside that he'd get clean and stay that way in order to give his younger sister a loving and stable home life. Following the path he believed he was destined for, Ethan Cavanaugh gave up a promising architectural career to join a private relief organization, traveling all across the U.S. and South America.
