The ingestion of the psychedelic plant peyote is an integral part of some branches of the Native American church. Kevin Yazzie's FAITH addresses the peyote ritual by providing a soundtrack of traditional Native American music in a suite of six songs entitled "Four Harmonized Peyote Songs." These consist of drumming, chanting, rattles, and singing, most of which forms a steady, entrancing pulse. The final track, "Faith," is a beautiful culmination to the journey featuring lush, choral harmonies to the chants.
