A man born with mental disabilities and a love for the ring sees fairies flying in the night sky as he is fighting with his opponents. While his only concentration lies in the fighting ring , he lives for the fight...until he realizes that he could live out his dream in the ring or he could live out his life in security. Read Fairies In The Night by Kariber Samec to find out what is Ronney Vell seeing, and what is going on inside of his mind while he's inside of that fighting ring, and while he is preparing to be in it. Ronney Vell, also known as The Madman of The Ring made some serious challenges to fight with someone that he wasn't prepared to fight, calling for a World Championship with a man called The Cucapiedra . When he finds himself in the ring, what will he do? He's prepared for this moment for a whole year. The entire world is here to see it. Will he call his therapist? Will he fight? What does he see? What is inside his mind?
Suffering from a very severe agoraphobia, claustrophobia, germaphobia and also autistic; mildly schizophrenic, Ronney Vell, having times when he is lucid and extremely fearless and lethal, and others where he is completely out of his mind, finds himself in a very unlikely predicament because his pride keeps getting in the way of his mouth. Now he's talked himself into battling different opponents for twelve killer rounds of which the thirteenth he alone must battle every last opponent at once till death, one of which is a crocodile. How will he fight? This is a man that sees fairies flying in the night sky,
Short Excerpt from the book:
"It was this, it was now, the day that I've been building up to with so much energy, I'd been collecting impulse for weeks. You would think it was something incredible, the one in a lifetime opportunity, my life's wish, but no, it wasn't. I was dreading it for weeks. I slept with one eye open. I didn't nap, I didn't rest, I didn't clean. I slept with the doors locked, lived with the doors locked, and I never, ever left the house. I was preparing for this moment all of the days after I met him."
An excerpt from deeper into Fairies In The Night:
"Although my visions see fairies dancing across the night sky flying over the air, I tell myself they are not real even though I do not know it. Horses with horns and mermaids are swimming across the waves in the night. The clouds are only in my mind. They've turned into puddles of green turquoise flowing water. Then I tell myself not to let it happen now, not now, I say quietly, I whisper it within me, not now. I take control and the sky is black again, as flat as a platform, like a wallpaper. I'm inside the stadium that's roofed and walled on every side where it's safe. The seats are full, they're cheering, for me, what makes me shake inside is this...I might not win. My opponent is staring me down but he divides himself into two and is no longer one. That's right, this isn't my imagination. They've brought me two live bears to battle with. These two large men were like two mighty giants. They looked like sumo wrestlers, or a tower of five men each. I'd never seen anything like this. They picked me up like if I had been a little doll."
Ronney Vell's mind has the capability of making things out to be far more different than what they really are, and at times even change his surroundings but at times, he cannot and his hallucinations take over the fight.
