Epiphanies and Insights: The Most Important Things I've Ever Learned

The following epiphanies and insights in my life had a significant, profound influence on shaping my worldview today. For many items on this list, I took the opposite position for most of my life. Arriving at several of these epiphanies was a "eureka!" moment for me. This book starts with a chapter centered on town and transportation planning, and the book devotes more space to this topic than any other. This is due to my over 40 years spent academically and professionally in that field. The book, however, does delve into quite a few life and philosophy topics in many other fields. I am now firmly convinced of the truth of the statements found in this book. I realize that many of the views expressed in this book will not win me any elections or popularity contests. But as John Lennon once said, "being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it'll always get you the right ones." If I had chosen to become a father, these are many of the words of wisdom that I would want to pass on to them in hopes of helping them to become thriving, successful adults.
