The nature and quality of undergraduate education is the key to the future of the nursing profession. This study characterized the undergraduate education of nursing students in perioperative setting in an institution of higher learning in the Philippines. The purpose of the study is to enhance the knowledge and skills of Junior nursing students on their entry-level of intraoperative nursing experience using Multimedia Orientation. The nursing component of teaching-learning activities and evaluation methods underwent constant revision, updating and change, hence this study utilized multimedia as an instructional method in the preparation of the junior nursing students related learning experience in intraoperative nursing. The study utilized true experimental pretest posttest research design. Forty-eight (48) junior nursing students were assigned using fishbowl sampling technique. The control group (n=24) had the usual intraoperative lecture orientation and the experimental group (n=24) had the intraoperative multimedia orientation. The findings show that the multimedia orientation was an effective tool in enhancing the intraoperative knowledge and skills of junior nursing students.
