Stratified random sampling technique was adopted, with the cadre of employees constituting the basis of stratification. Content validity(face validity)approach was used. Furthermore, the split-half method, using the Spearman Brown Prophecy formula, served to ensure reliability of the instrument. Data were analyzed, using descriptive and inferential statistics. Research findings indicated that Training helps to enhance: recognition of Occupational hazards in the workplace; evaluation and control of occupational hazards in the workplace; as well as implementation of safety programmes in the workplace.
