This Ebook uses real data to examine a variety of pediatric illnesses. It differs from books that are already on the market that either focus on database management, or epidemiology but do not use the type of linear models that are discussed in this text. Each chapter generally focuses on an analysis of a pediatric illness from the National Inpatient Sample. This is a massive database made available on a yearly basis from the federal government. The Ebook includes analyses of pharyngitis, HIV, hydrocephalus, perinatal infection, and so on. The studies are the results of a research seminar conducted in the fall of 2008.
