Nyx is a fifteen-year-old girl hated by everyone she meets because their subconscious can sense the primordial darkness which dwells within her.
Shivers is an ordinary nightmare just doing his job in the Dream Realm to bring night terrors to sleeping humans.
Shivers is dragged into the waking world by Nyx. Unsure of what his disturbed teenage captor's plans for him are, the nightmare learns what it is to be afraid.
