Effective Pedagogy for Modern Class rooms

Teachers who haven't learned the most basic principles of instruction are doomed to repeat the mistakes of those who came before them, delivering content with the driest, most ineffective methods possible, then wondering why their students aren't more excited to learn. The students deserve to be taught in ways that actively engage them in the learning process, are student-centered, and evaluate their learning using a variety of measures.
