This book analyses the phenomenon of educational corruption and looks at the different ways it impacts students. The scope of the book is Africa, precisely urban Cameroon. The first part of the book gives a definition and a description of the phenomenon in that country, unearthing the causes. The second section digs inside the Christian tradition and see how to interpret this type of corruption with a perspective on the most vulnerable (in this case the students). the third and last section looks for ways out. First the power dynamics at play in educational corruption are described; second, the national anthem(s) is/are presented as common ground that could help build a vision for Cameroonian people, and finally, some principles taken from Catholic Social Teaching such as subsidiarity are offered as concrete ways of curbing corruption in education
