's recordings had their place in their day, when records of any sort weren't that easy to come by. But several decades on, there's no getting around it: the man sounds prissy. On he plays 13 traditional songs, accompanied by nothing other than his Spanish guitar. His high, -influenced tenor voice is one of a minstrel balladeer relaying rather than living the songs, with a lullaby-type ambience and clear production.
