La multinationale est affectée par des phénomènes paranormaux, à son insu. Steve Morgan, a detective in the New York City Criminal Affairs Bureau, pauses in his career. One morning, he discovers a mysterious advertisement in his newspaper inviting him to a strange meeting. Matthew and Kate Walsh arrive in Manhattan to celebrate their twentieth anniversary. But during their first subway excursion, the couple is suddenly separated at a station stop. In the subterranean depths of the New York subway, Duvall, a giant in the sneaker market, has recently set up a research and development center. The multinational is unaware of paranormal phenomena affecting it. Steve and Matthew do not know each other, but soon an odd twist of fate brings each of them back to a place from their childhood, where they will make a macabre discovery.
