She thought she had finally found her tribe. A friend comes when you call and supports you to the very end. She had been burned before by women who turned out to be narcissists or sociopaths. She was done with toxic friends. She was ready to start over again with sane friends, ones who wouldn't stab her in the back.
What she found was the same alienation, making her doubt her own sanity, questioning everything she thought she knew, gaslighted at every step until she stood all alone.
