Ian Fleming's suave secret agent 007 makes his big-screen debut in this cheeky and fast-paced spy thriller, the first of a long series of James Bond films. Dr. No is the film that made former body-builder Sean Connery a star. Actress Ursula Andress also made a splash as the bikini-clad seductress who rises from the sea to use Bond to get revenge upon Dr. No. Bond himself is also after No, who, according to Bond's boss M, is about to financially ruin the United States. Bond's search for the crazed extortionist leads him to Jamaica and gets him into a variety of potentially dangerous scrapes, that while nowhere near as elaborate as those in subsequent Bond films, are still exciting.
