Albums in the early '60s were often put out only after an artist had a couple of hits which could be packaged with other tunes. This is what appears to have been the case with
Down in the Boondocks
, with the album containing the title hit, as well as
"I Knew You When,"
but some of the other songs here showed promise as well. Produced by
