The fifty-four minute WWII documentary offers one of the first historical studies on film of the 'Stuka' flying artillery, a dive-bomber that plummeted toward the earth at a wholly vertical angle. Replete with a piercing, wailing siren of unmistakable identification, it became the very embodiment of terror for thousands upon thousands of European citizens. This program compiles footage of the Stuka in active combat, as a vital wartime component of the three active Nazi fronts, in France, Russia and North Africa; it also incorporates footage of the Hs-129s and the FW-190s as they engaged in combat high above Russian soil.
