Following the death of her father in 1997, the distant voices of the generations from whom he had descended began calling to the author of this family history. The second in a series, this volume focuses on the allied and collateral lines of the author's paternal grandmother, Effie Thompson Kindle, a descendant of Peter Jett and Francis Triplett. Distant Voices, Volume I, followed Effie's direct line of descent from Jett and Triplett, who called America home during its infancy. Volume II focuses on her allied and collateral lines of descent, namely families with the names of Hite, Chrisman, Tapp, Branson, Pointer, Tackett, Bourne, Huber, Kerr, GeFeller and Seaton, many like Jett and Triplett early to this county. This family history represents several years of travel and research by the author ~ her quest to tell Effie Thompson Kindle's story.
