Dilophosaurus in Bloomington, MN

The Dilophosaurus can be easily recognized by the two distinctive bony crests on its head. They are bright red and can be seen from afar. It also has a fiery red crest on its long back, all the way to the tip of its tail. Its beautiful lizard skin is bluish in color. What a looker! Weighing just over 1,000 pounds, the Dilophosaurus is almost a lightweight compared to the other dinosaurs. But it should not be underestimated. The carnivore is a real predator and can crush fish or smaller dinosaurs like peanuts between its strong fangs. Because it has such strong hind legs, it’s a very good runner and can easily catch up with its prey when hunting. Better not let it catch your scent in the first place.
