Jane was born in McIntosh County, Georgia in 1827 and died about 1860. He married his second wife Sarah Penelope Mobley in Liberty County, Georgia on September 29, 1863. Sarah was the daughter of Elizabeth "Betsy" Peacock and James Norris Mobley. Sarah was born on May 10, 1843 and died on November 25, 1913.
