Henry Aldrich first appeared as a small minor character in the play WHAT A LIFE. The singer RudyVallee saw the play and wanted to have Henry and the Aldrich family adapted into a radio format.The radio show became very popular so it was inevitable that Henry Aldrich would be presented in movies, television and of course, comic books.Dell Comics began publishing HENRY ALDRICH in May of 1950 and the series would last twenty-two issues.
